Following trailer light system inspection and a brief lunch break, the team proceeded to Narangba Aged Care Services to visit Patrick Hetherman, a significant figure in the journey’s historical context.

Patrick Hetherman and Jim Reddiex served as drivers on the 1975 Golden Jubilee team, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the original journey with their yellow Citroën “Bubsy II.” This direct historical link created exceptional significance for the current centenary celebration visit.
Multi-Wing Resident Engagement
Residents from Wings 1 and 2 demonstrated enthusiasm for Bubsie’s visit, with facility staff coordinating access for maximum participation. The arrival of Ron McGrice in another Citroën, accompanied by additional club members in modern Citroëns, created an impressive automotive display.
