A Day Full of Connections, Kindness & Glorious Sunsets

A Gentle Start to a Wonderful Morning
What a gift it was to ease into the day! With our first appointment not until 11 am, we set off at a relaxed 9:45 — just a 30-minute drive to get us there. It gave us the perfect opportunity to refuel, scope out where our hosts wanted the display, and then carefully unload and drive Bubsie into position at the Regis Legana Aged Care Facility.
Kevin set up the presentation on the TV screen and before long, everything was ready to go. A quiet confidence that the day is in good hands.

Bringing Joy to the Residents
We were so encouraged by the wonderful group of residents who joined us! After the talk, many of them came outside to meet Bubsie in person — and the smiles on their faces were worth every kilometre of the journey. Photos were taken, memories were made, and laughter filled the air.
We were also blessed to have a couple of dear friends who live nearby come and join us for the presentation. Reconnecting with them was such a joy — and when they prayed with us before leaving, it was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. We even gave Julie Catton a fun ride back to the trailer in Bubsie!

Out & About at the ADRA Connections Op Shop, Mowbray
We arrived just before 1 pm and set up Bubsie in a free parking space right at the front corner of the shop — perfectly positioned where the walkway from Coles meets the street. It turned out to be an ideal spot!

Laughter, Rides & a Little Bit of Magic
Throughout the afternoon, a lovely stream of people stopped to learn about Bubsie and the incredible journey of Nevill and Greg. The curiosity was infectious! A couple of folks were particularly eager to see the car cranked up — and one enthusiastic young man even had a go himself. What a moment!
Before we packed up for the day, we gave some of the Op Shop’s management team a ride in Bubsie at closing time — a perfect little send-off. Then we reloaded her into the trailer and headed back to our place of stay, hearts full.

Wrapped in Grace and Golden Skies
Despite rain being forecast, the day stayed beautifully dry — and as if to put the perfect bow on it all, Tasmania gifted us yet another one of her breathtaking sunsets. We have truly been blessed, and we are so grateful for every open door, every warm smile, and every moment of connection. To God be the glory!
