Grafton Church: Display & Trivia Night Victory

Morning Display and Sabbath School Leadership
Bubsie drew considerable interest positioned in front of the Grafton Church this morning, creating natural conversation starters for arriving worshippers. Our team took leadership roles throughout the Sabbath School program – Karen provided musical accompaniment while Rod handled welcomes and song leading. Glenda delivered a comprehensive trip report that perfectly complemented the lesson theme about growing in understanding God’s glory and sharing it with others through our lives.

Worship Service and Afternoon Rest
The lesson segments flowed beautifully as Kevin and Glenda guided discussions connecting our journey experiences with spiritual growth concepts. During the worship service, Veronica captivated the children with her story, while Pastor Greg Fernance preached powerfully on achieving victory over “the beast within us – ourselves.”

Evening Hall Setup and Delicious Dinner
After a restful afternoon, we reconvened at the church hall, where Bubsie took centre stage for their car trivia night. The evening began with a lovely communal meal before teams gathered around tables, ready for intellectual automotive combat.

Five Categories of Car Knowledge
The trivia featured diverse sections: logos and slogans, car movies and TV shows, Bubsie-specific questions, general car knowledge, and weird automotive facts. Teams performed admirably in the first four categories, but that final section proved to be everyone’s downfall – apparently, weird car facts are genuinely weird!

Victory by One Point
In a nail-biting finish, Pieter and Veronica’s team claimed victory by just one point! While their Bubsie knowledge certainly helped, they readily admitted their teammates carried the day with superior general automotive knowledge. Sometimes being part of a good team means knowing when to let others shine.

Creative Children’s Activity
Throughout the evening’s adult competition, children busily constructed box cars for Sunday’s costume competition – proving that automotive enthusiasm spans all ages and creative mediums. The sound of excited young voices planning their designs added perfect background energy to the trivia battle.
