Rockingham Display and Preparations for the Week Ahead

Advance Team Visit to Maida Vale
While the team were displaying at Rockingham, Kevin and Glenda drove through to Maida Vale to arrange the team’s stay at the campground. As the office wasn’t open when they arrived, they left the van and drove up to Bickley and Carmel to do some groundwork planning for future events, and then checked out the views of Perth, coming down the Zig Zag Scenic Drive.

Excited Crowd at Rockingham
There was an excited group of people waiting for Bubsie to arrive at Rockingham, where a sausage sizzle was happening. At one stage, there was such a large group of interested viewers that Roger gave a talk to the group, telling the story of Nevill Westwood.

Winding Down the Display
By lunchtime, the numbers had dropped off, and Roger took Bubsie for a drive to the beach. The team then packed up, and not long after, the rain started, beginning gently but soon increasing.

Transporting the Trailer
Warren and Desiree took the trailer to the Millist home, where Roger will tow it to the nearby venues over the next few days. Warren and Desiree then traveled to Maida Vale, picking up a relative’s car to help transport themselves and Veronica and Pieter to the displays this week.

Warm and Dry in the Vans
Although it is still raining, the team is all warm and dry in their vans at the Maida Vale campground.
