A Morning of Connection at Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church
This morning’s adventure took us just around the corner from our caravan park to the most adorable little church you could imagine. After a quick drive, we carefully positioned Bubsie under the welcoming cover of the church veranda—and she fit like she was meant to be there! The elder arrived to unlock the doors, and we bustled about setting up our resource table, eager to share the Overlander book with arriving members.

Unexpected Visitors While We Worshiped
As Sabbath School began, we headed inside, leaving Kevin as Bubsie’s guardian. Little did we know what delightful encounters awaited him!
First, a curious local lady spotted our A-frame sign on the nature strip and couldn’t resist coming in for a closer look. She was so taken with Bubsie that she snapped a photo to share with a relative. When Kevin offered her an extra book for her family member, her face lit up with gratitude.
Then came a special surprise—the curator from Hamilton’s Motor Museum stopped by. It turns out he owns a Citroën 5 CV himself, though (as he admitted with a chuckle) not quite in Bubsie’s pristine condition!

Sharing Our Story
After a brief intermission, the worship service began, and we were honored to be part of it. Veronica captivated the children with her story, while Kevin shared Bubsie’s remarkable journey around Australia and how God has used this vintage beauty to spread the Gospel far and wide. Our team wove their experiences throughout the service, and you could see the wonder on everyone’s faces—they were truly amazed at how the Lord works through the most unexpected vessels.

Fellowship, Food, and a Joy Ride
The community lunch that followed was nothing short of magnificent—both in warmth and abundance! And then came the moment many had been waiting for: the elder successfully cranked Bubsie to life (always a thrill!), and Pastor John Gibson enjoyed a delightful spin around the roundabout and back to the trailer. We’re already looking forward to reconnecting with this wonderful congregation at tomorrow’s event.

Back Home, More Connections
Even back at the caravan park, the ministry continued. Kevin struck up a conversation with our next-door neighbor, which naturally led to a Bubsie tour and—you guessed it—another Overlander book finding its home.

God’s timing is always perfect, and His reach extends far beyond what we could plan on our own.
