Kingscliff Seventh-day Adventist Church: A Neighborly Visit
The Shortest Commute Yet
Sometimes the best venues are right on your doorstep! With the church property backing onto our caravan park, this morning’s “commute” was just half a block. Some team members walked while others brought the Bubsie trailer – talk about convenient logistics.
Perfect Positioning and Weather Protection
We positioned Bubsie under the front entrance verandah, providing excellent visibility for visitors while keeping us sheltered from any potential weather. Smart positioning always makes the day run smoother.
Sabbath School Engagement
During the Sabbath School program, team members took turns manning the display, engaging with curious visitors and sharing books. These informal conversations often create the most meaningful connections.
Worship Team Coordination
Pre-service prayer and program coordination with the worship team ensured everything flowed seamlessly. Veronica delivered the children’s story, setting up the morning’s central theme perfectly.
Two Journeys, One Mission
The service beautifully compared two parallel journeys – Nevill’s original adventure and our current expedition around Australia. Kevin shared the foundational story while team members interjected with modern experiences, showing how we’re building on that legacy by continuing to share uplifting messages across the country.
Extended Fellowship Over Lunch
The real magic happened after the service during the extended lunch fellowship around Bubsie. The congregation provided a delicious meal featuring rice with various toppings and dessert – nothing beats good food and great conversation for deepening community connections.
Reunions and Relationships
The day became extra special with unexpected reunions – meeting old friends and connecting with relatives made this neighborhood visit feel like a true homecoming.
When your venue is literally next door, you know it’s going to be a relaxed and relationship-focused day. Mission accomplished!
