Where Faith, Friendship, and Bubsie Converge

A Team Reunited
Our team members travelled separately to church this morning, coming from different accommodations. When the trailer arrived, we unpacked Bubsie under the covered area by the church and hall, ready for a special day.

Reconnecting with Familiar Faces
We met many people from the church congregation, and it was wonderful to see how far Bubsie’s story had already spread! We handed out The Overlander books to some members, while others proudly shared they already had their copies. Some had even read “Bubsie and the Boys” by David Riley – true fans!
As Sabbath School started, Glenda and Kevin stayed with the car to greet visitors, while Pieter and Veronica joined a class.

Sharing the Story
During the worship service, the team had the privilege of sharing Bubsie’s journey with the congregation. Veronica took the children’s story, capturing young hearts and imaginations. Kevin then delivered the main message, weaving together Bubsie’s remarkable story with insights from our trip around Australia.
The entire team shared experiences from the road – the people we’ve met, the Overlander books we’ve distributed, the resources we’ve shared, and copies of God’s Rescue Plan we’ve handed out. Through it all, one truth has become crystal clear: we have witnessed the hand of God at work as we’ve travelled. This isn’t just our journey – it’s God’s journey, and we’re honored to be part of it.

Photo Ops and Farewells
After the service, more people gathered around Bubsie. They picked up copies of The Overlander and took photos with the famous little car. As the congregation began departing, we packed up Bubsie and prepared for the afternoon ahead.

Lakeside Fellowship at Myuna Bay
Several church members had invited us to join them for a picnic lunch at Myuna Bay. For Glenda and Kevin, this was especially meaningful – they were back at their home church, surrounded by dear friends. The joy of reconnecting with their church family added an extra layer of blessing to an already special day.

Prayers Answered
The day brought an unexpected gift: a couple of people expressed interest in assisting with some of the remaining segments of the journey by helping to pull the Bubsie trailer.
We had been praying specifically that God would supply our needs in this area. Once again, He has shown His faithfulness and perfect timing.

When you surrender your journey to God, He not only guides the way – He provides everything you need along the road.
