A Delightful Day in Cobar

Setting Up in the Shade
We found the perfect spot this morning—a beautiful cool shade tree right near the IGA car park entrance. While we were getting organized, Warren had to dash off to get a tyre repaired (it had gone flat overnight—just one of those travel adventures!).

Wonderful Reunions and New Friends
What a joy to catch up with Jenny and Ross Ilett! We also had the pleasure of meeting Philip, the new Bible worker, along with his lovely family. It’s these reconnections and new friendships that make the journey so amazing.

Engaging the Community
Throughout the morning, we chatted with folks sharing their stories and car enthusiasts who were absolutely fascinated by our vehicle. Everyone genuinely interested in learning about the car and our mission.
The local community really embraced us! Both the Council General Manager and a journalist from The Cobar Weekly stopped by to learn about our journey. By the time we packed up at noon, we’d handed out about 40 books and made so many meaningful connections.

Onward to Narromine
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch together in Drummond Park before taking on the road to Narromine where new adventures await.
