Bubsie Takes Centre Stage in Historic Harrisville!

A Star is Born on Main Street
What a morning it was in the charming historic town of Harrisville! We rolled Bubsie right into the heart of Main Street, and our little French adventurer was ready for her close-up. Word had already spread among the local business owners – they were not only expecting us but genuinely excited to welcome another unique attraction to their beautiful area.

From Quiet Streets to Curious Crowds
The morning started with that peaceful small-town vibe – just the occasional car meandering down Main Street and a few leisurely pedestrians. But as the day warmed up, so did the interest in our remarkable vintage traveller!
Soon enough, we found ourselves surrounded by fascinated visitors, all eager to hear Bubsie’s incredible story of being the very first car to circumnavigate Australia. There’s something magical about watching people’s faces light up when they realise they’re standing next to a piece of automotive history!

A Touch of France in the Australian Outback
One of our most delightful encounters came from an unexpected source – a lovely lady visiting from France! You should have seen her eyes sparkle when she discovered that Bubsie was a French automobile. The connection was instant and profound.
She was absolutely captivated by the story of how this brave little French car conquered the vast Australian continent in those pioneering days. When we presented her with the two books documenting Bubsie’s journey, her excitement was infectious!
The best part? She’s heading back to France soon for a holiday and couldn’t wait to share these treasures with her father back home. Just imagine – Bubsie’s story is now going to travel from the dusty roads of rural Queensland all the way to the cobblestone streets of France!

Onward to Warwick
As the afternoon sun began to cast longer shadows, it was time for Bubsie and crew to hit the road once more. Our destination: the welcoming town of Warwick, where some incredibly generous church folk have opened their doors to us for the next two nights.
There’s something beautifully fitting about this journey – just as Bubsie’s original adventure relied on the kindness and hospitality of strangers along the way, we’re experiencing that same wonderful Australian spirit of mateship and generosity.
Stay tuned for more adventures as Bubsie continues to capture hearts and imaginations across the country!
