Continuing the Journey: From Albany to Manjimup
Early Departure from Albany
We set off early this morning from Albany, after a pleasant stay at Robin and Jane Godfrey’s place. Amazingly, we were able to fit 4 couples’ vans and the Bubsie trailer into their front yard, despite the cold and wet weather.
Arrival and Set-up in Manjimup
We arrived in Manjimup to find a group ready for the day’s event. There was a sausage sizzle, a hot drink van, and an ice cream van for the attendees to enjoy. The event had been well-advertised, and it wasn’t long before we had a good-sized group eager to learn about Bubsie.
Engaging with the Community
We met a niece of Greg Davies, Margaret, and her daughter Nicole, along with their spouses. Everyone was keen to learn about the history of the car. A reporter from the Bridgwater Mailbag came and interviewed Roger and Warren.
Successful Event
Thanks to Pastor Ross Craig, Brett Weier, and the members from Manjimup, we had an enjoyable day. We estimated that well over a hundred people visited the display here in Manjimup.
Onward to Busselton
When we packed up, we made our way to the Busselton campground. Kevin and Glenda Amos had the day off, but Glenda cooked us a delicious meal of Spaghetti Bolognese. It was nice to sit together in the warm camp kitchen and enjoy the meal.
