Bubsie Takes Centre Stage at Farley Piazza
We rolled into Stanthorpe this morning just in time for morning tea at the Farley Piazza, right in the heart of town. What perfect timing! The whole town seemed to be out enjoying the lovely, sunny, crisp morning, and our display spot was absolutely ideal.
A Crowd-Pleasing Performance
The excitement was infectious! From morning tea until around 2pm, we had a constant stream of admirers gathered around Bubsie. Even after the main rush died down, curious onlookers kept appearing to gaze at the car in absolute awe.
The response was incredible – so many people told us how thrilled they were to finally get to see Bubsie in person!
Car Enthusiasts & Questions Galore
Among the crowd were plenty of serious car enthusiasts who peppered us with fascinating questions about Bubsie’s restoration and history. It’s always a joy to share stories with people who truly appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into these beautiful machines.
Almost everyone grabbed our books too – fantastic!

Meeting Lincoln McPhee
What a delightful surprise to find Lincoln McPhee’s beautifully restored 1951 Citroën parked right near Bubsie! The two classics made quite the pair.
Behind the Scenes Tour
The day got even better when Lincoln invited us to view his impressive private collection of vintage Citroëns. What a treasure trove! Each car had its own story, and Lincoln’s passion for these French beauties was evident in every lovingly maintained detail.
Border Country Hospitality
As the sun began to set, we made our way towards Tenterfield, where we’re staying with our wonderfully kind host on a property that sits almost perfectly on the Queensland-New South Wales border.
After such an action-packed day of sharing Bubsie with enthusiastic crowds, it’s the perfect peaceful spot to reflect on another successful day of our journey.
