Harbour Carpark Community Display | Ulladulla NSW

Wednesday: 26 March 10am – 1pm

Community Display | Harbour Carpark

After a restful night and breakfast, we reconnected the cars to the trailer and caravan. We had to slightly adjust the trailer drawbar height to properly attach it to the car, as the uneven ground prevented the jockey wheel from lowering enough. Once that was resolved, both vehicles were securely connected, and we were ready to depart.

We arrived in Ulladulla unsure of the exact display location, but the first area we checked was already full of cars. We then proceeded to the Harbour Carpark, and before we could even unload the car, several people approached to examine it. Some had spotted us on the highway and were curious about the trailer’s contents.

After quickly setting up the display, we had around 20 visitors in the first hour who came to view the car and receive the informational materials. Throughout the morning, more people continued to stop by, drawn by the nearby sea pool and walking path, where many enjoyed recreational activities. Several individuals expressed interest in the car’s mechanical features, and some even retrieved family members to share the experience.

A man from France was particularly excited to see the Citroën, as he was aware it had been the first to circumnavigate Australia. Some attendees also mentioned recognising the vehicle from the “Incredible Journey” program they regularly watched.

After a lunch break, we continued the display until 1:00 PM, packed up and began the journey to Moruya. It was a pleasant drive through the forested areas.

The morning was a great success, with over 50 people engaged and more than 30 informational books distributed, along with QR code program cards and “Incredible Journey” leaflets. We look forward to the next event at the Moruya Holiday Park and the Vintage Car Club display at the Adelaide Hotel Carpark.
