A Beautiful Day at Wagga Beach

Welcomed by the River
We pulled into Wagga Beach and were greeted by the loveliest surprise—a peaceful park nestled right by the river. One of our dear church friends was already there, waiting with a warm smile and helpful directions. “Over here by the playground path,” they suggested. “You’ll have a wonderful spot.” We couldn’t have asked for better company or a more beautiful setting.

Bubsie Meets New Friends
We set up our display and welcomed Bubsie out for her big moment. The morning unfolded quietly—mums with little ones in tow were understandably focused on getting to the playground (we completely understood!). But it warmed our hearts when several dads paused to admire the car, their faces lighting up with genuine interest. Those conversations felt like little gifts.

Every Person, Every Book, Every Heart
Throughout the day, we took turns at the display, sharing the time together. The foot traffic was lighter than we’d anticipated, but something beautiful happened—we gave out about a dozen books to people.
And here’s what we keep coming back to: every single person matters. Every book that finds its way into a home carries hope with it. God sees each individual soul in ways we simply can’t. His math has always been different from ours, and we’re so grateful for that.

Wrapping Up with Grateful Hearts
By 1 PM, the heat was really building and the park had grown quieter. Time to pack up. We carefully loaded Bubsie back onto the trailer and drove her over to the church, all ready for tomorrow’s outreach.

The Gentle Rhythm of Ministry Life
Back at the caravan park, we settled into the practical side of things—making some needed repairs to the caravan, hanging up the washing in the warm breeze, and picking up groceries for the weekend ahead.
These quiet moments—the mending, the washing, the preparing—they’re just as much a part of our journey as the public outreach. There’s something comforting about that rhythm, knowing that faithfulness shows up in all the little things.
