Church Display [Bubsie B] | Ipswich Qld

Saturday: 9 August

A Special Sabbath with the Ipswich Community

Safe Harbor from the Storm
Today we brought Bubsie to the local Ipswich church, finding perfect shelter under their covered area to protect our historic replica from the persistent rain.

Sharing the Story
Despite smaller numbers due to other community events, we enjoyed wonderful fellowship with the warm church congregation. During the service, Gordon shared highlights of Nevill’s remarkable 1925 journey, captivating the audience with tales of adventure and determination.

Enthusiastic Response
The congregation responded with genuine enthusiasm, delighted to examine Bubsie up close after the service. We distributed many books for members to share with friends and family who couldn’t attend. One visitor had even heard about Bubsie beforehand and came specifically to see this piece of automotive history!

Generous Hospitality
The community treated us to a delicious lunch, and we thoroughly enjoyed their company and conversation. Their generosity and warmth made the day truly special.

A Meaningful Visit
Later, the men visited a retired minister friend who has been seriously ill. This personal connection proved deeply meaningful and brought joy to everyone involved.

What a wonderful reminder that the best parts of any journey are often the people you meet along the way
