What a absolutely stunning way to wrap up this incredible adventure! Bubsie was positively glowing in the gorgeous sunshine, looking like automotive royalty parked majestically in front of the Muswellbrook Adventist church. If cars could smile, Bubsie would have been beaming from bumper to bumper!
Small Numbers, Giant Hearts
Sure, the congregation was smaller than usual – life happens with commitments and sniffles keeping folks away – but what we lacked in numbers, we made up for in pure, heartwarming fellowship. Sometimes the most intimate gatherings create the most magical moments!
Street-Side Ambassadors and Divine Timing
While the service was happening inside, Darryl became Bubsie’s personal tour guide, welcoming over 20 curious visitors who couldn’t resist stopping by. The day’s absolute highlight? Two girls strolling past who got so excited about Bubsie’s story that they literally sprinted home to drag their parents back for a look!
But here’s where it gets goosebump-worthy: A couple temporarily in Muswellbrook caring for their sick daughter heard about Bubsie from a friend who’d seen our little legend back in Warwick. They rushed right over, completely enchanted by the car and its incredible story. Then came the moment that gave everyone chills – when the lady discovered this was Bubsie’s FINAL appearance, she looked up to the heavens and exclaimed, “Thank you God for bringing us here in time!”
Talk about perfect timing and divine appointments!
Sharing the Legacy One Last Time
Inside the church, Gordon had the congregation hanging on every word as he shared the epic tale of Nevill, Greg, and their trusty Bubsie. He painted vivid pictures of the amazing experiences and the hundreds of lives touched during these incredible weeks on the road. You could feel the inspiration rippling through the room!
The Final Viewing Party
After the service, it was like a joyful parade as everyone streamed outside for their up-close Bubsie encounter. The excitement was absolutely infectious – smiles everywhere, stories flowing, and that special magic that happens when history comes alive before your eyes!
A Feast Fit for Road Warriors
The church family’s generosity knew no bounds, treating us to a absolutely scrumptious farewell lunch. There’s nothing quite like breaking bread with new friends who’ve opened their hearts and doors to welcome traveling strangers and their very special vintage companion.
The Bittersweet Goodbye
Then came the moment we’d all been dreading and anticipating – tucking Bubsie into the trailer for the final time on this extraordinary journey. As we closed that trailer door, it felt like the end of a beautiful chapter, but also the beginning of countless stories that will ripple outward for years to come.
Parting Ways, Carrying Memories
Saying goodbye to our amazing team was tough – we’d become such a tight-knit traveling family! But as we headed our separate directions, our hearts were overflowing with gratitude for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

We may never fully know just how far-reaching Bubsie’s impact has been, or how many future adventures and inspirations have been sparked by the hundreds of people we’ve met along the way. But one thing’s for certain – this little car has touched hearts, ignited imaginations, and reminded everyone that ordinary people can achieve absolutely extraordinary things!
