Setting the Stage for Something Special
We rolled out early from the showgrounds campground, Bubsie safely nestled on her trailer, and made our way to Canberra National Church. As we arrived, it was time for the familiar ritual—carefully unloading our vintage beauty and setting up our display. The table came out, adorned with colorful QR cards and books, ready to spark curiosity and conversation.

Familiar Faces and Fresh Excitement
As church members began arriving, something wonderful happened—several students from Canberra Christian School spotted us! “We saw the car yesterday!” they exclaimed, their excitement still bubbling over from the previous day’s visit. It’s moments like these that make the journey worthwhile.
Sabbath School: Stories from the Road
Glenda took center stage during Sabbath School, sharing mission news that wasn’t from overseas—it was from right here, from our incredible journey! The congregation leaned in as she shared highlights and results from our travels.
While Pieter and Veronica joined the Sabbath School class, the rest of our team stayed stationed by Bubsie. Conversations flowed, cameras clicked, and the palpable excitement around the car was contagious!

Church Service: A Journey Through Time
“Pack Your Bag” – A Journey We’re All On
Veronica captivated the children with her story “Pack Your Bag,” reminding everyone that we’re all on an incredible journey—whether it’s in a vintage car or through life itself.
A Century of Stories Collide
Kevin delivered a powerful sermon that bridged 100 years of history. He wove together the tale of that epic journey around Australia a century ago with our own modern-day adventure. The congregation was transported through time as Glenda and Veronica added their personal experiences to the narrative, painting a vivid picture of faith, adventure, and perseverance.

After Church: A Feast for Body and Soul
The service ended, but the fellowship was just beginning! More photos were snapped, more questions were asked, and curiosity about the car showed no signs of slowing down.
Then came a highlight of the day—a lovely meal served by this beautiful community. Canberra National Church truly lives up to its name as an international church, where many cultures come together as one family. The diversity of faces, languages, and backgrounds around the table was a testament to the universal language of faith and friendship.

The Grand Finale: Taking Pastor Ben for a Spin!
As packing-up time approached, Kevin offered Pastor Ben Kosmeier something special—a ride in Bubsie! Around the car park they went, then down the street, the vintage engine purring faithfully.
People absolutely love that this century-old car still drives! There’s something magical about seeing history come alive, proving that with care and dedication, even a 100-year-old machine can still serve its purpose beautifully.

A heartfelt thank you to Canberra National Church for their warm hospitality, engaging fellowship, and delicious meal. Your international community showed us the true meaning of welcome!
Another unforgettable stop on our journey—where past meets present, and strangers become friends.
