Museum Magic, Sausage Sizzles & Strength Challenge.
Picture this: Bubsie parked majestically in the gateway of Queanbeyan Museum, the mouthwatering aroma of sausages sizzling courtesy of Queanbeyan Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Faith FM’s Strength Challenge trailer drawing curious crowds. We weren’t just having an event—we were creating an experience!
The Perfect Spot
Some assistants were convinced we’d picked the wrong spot. But here’s the thing: the Museum had one of their busiest days on record! The staff were absolutely thrilled with the turnout and beyond grateful that we’d chosen to display at their venue. Sometimes the road less traveled is exactly where you need to be.
Conversations That Matter
The foot traffic flowed steadily throughout the day, and we found ourselves in a rhythm—handing out Overlander books, sharing stories, and connecting with curious visitors.
One memorable moment? A man who took on the Strength Challenge stuck around afterward, engaging in deep conversation with the pastor and several assistants. Those spontaneous connections are what it’s all about!
Seeds Planted Far and Wide
One volunteer—a fellow Christian—saw the value in what we were doing. She loaded up on QR cards and books, as did her friends and other assistants. God’s Rescue Plan found its way into many hands that day, planting seeds that only heaven will fully reveal.
Meanwhile, Across Town at the British Car Show…
While the museum was buzzing, Glenda, Noel, and Sheridan embarked on their own mission—walking around the oval at the British car show, distributing books to participants and spectators alike. Talk about maximizing impact!
Media Moment Alert!
Two representatives from the Historic Vehicles Club (historicvehicles.com.au) came by, cameras in hand. They’re updating Bubsie’s story on their website to include our journey—how cool is that?
And there was Warren and the Bean, cruising past us not once, but twice, each time honking a cheery greeting. You’ve got to love the camaraderie of the classic car community!
The Bowling Club Bonus
Never one to miss an opportunity, Pieter made a quick trip to the nearby bowling club with 10 Overlander books. The bowlers were delighted by the unexpected gift—proof that you never know where the next meaningful connection will happen!
A Prayer-Filled Farewell
As the day wound down and we began packing up, something beautiful happened. The volunteers from both the church and the museum gathered around us in prayer. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

The Real MVPs
A big thank you to the local organizers who made this multi-faceted event possible, and to the amazing assistants who kept everyone well-fed with a fantastic sausage sizzle and drinks. Your hospitality and hard work created the welcoming atmosphere that made everything else possible!
Sometimes success isn’t about being at the “obvious” location—it’s about being exactly where you’re meant to be. Queanbeyan proved that in!
When history, faith, food, and community come together, magic happens.
