The team arrived at Livingston Church to find Roger had efficiently prepared the Right Around Australia display, positioning Bubsie prominently outside the main entrance to maximise visibility for arriving community members. A brief test drive around the property ensured optimal positioning for the day’s activities.

The display area was professionally organised with safety bollards and a comprehensive resource table, quickly attracting community interest and creating an engaging focal point for the day’s celebrations.

Enhanced Community Display
A local church member added to the Right Around Australia display by arranging for his neighbour’s Model A Ford to be displayed alongside Bubsie, creating an impressive vintage vehicle exhibition that enhanced the historical context and visual appeal of the display.

Pre-Service Engagement
Strong community interest developed immediately, with visitors examining the vehicle and accessing available materials before formal programming commenced. The church provided hospitality through complimentary hot beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere for early arrivals.

Integrated Worship Experience
Team members participated actively with the community, with some joining small group Bible study discussions and communal activities, while others maintained the heritage display. This rotation of the team ensured both community engagement and ongoing availability for the Bubsie display.

Doug Hanbury, Greg’s nephew, and Shane Bishop, his great-nephew, participated in commemorative photographs with the vehicle. Shane’s impressive height of 6 feet 6 inches provided valuable perspective on Greg’s own stature of 6 feet 4 inches, adding personal dimension to the historical narrative.
