Alice Springs Church and Telegraph Station Display – Right Around Australia Project

Morning Community Gathering
The team joined the Alice Springs community gathering with Pastor Lloyd Grolimund delivering the morning address. The session featured exceptional musical performances led by talented local vocalists, creating an inspiring atmosphere for attendees.

Project Presentation and Display
Glenda delivered a comprehensive presentation during the mission segment, updating the community on the Right Around Australia journey’s progress to date. Simultaneously, Bubsie remained on display outside, allowing community members to examine the historic vehicle during the morning break period.

Telegraph Station Afternoon Display
Following the morning program, the team transported a picnic lunch to the historic Telegraph Station, with Warren driving Bubsie to the new venue. The display was positioned near picnic facilities, attracting interest from visiting tourists who appreciated the Petite Citroen’s historical significance. Operations concluded when the station cafe closed, prompting a return to the Alice Springs base.

Team Transition Dinner
The evening featured a farewell dinner with incoming team members Frank and Irene Emhofer, while bidding goodbye to Warren and Desiree May until their return later in the year. The gathering provided opportunities to appreciate departing members’ contributions and establish relationships with new team members through journey review discussions.
