Transport Hall of Fame Display – Right Around Australia Project

Morning Conditions and Journey
Alice Springs experienced a frosty morning with ice formation on vehicles, creating crisp conditions for the scenic drive to the Transport Hall of Fame through the local gap. The picturesque route provided an excellent start to the day’s activities.

Museum Display and Documentation
The museum experienced lower visitor numbers, which provided ideal opportunities for comprehensive filming of Bubsie positioned alongside vehicles and trucks from similar historical periods. The engaged visitors showed genuine interest in the project story, fitting naturally with the museum’s automotive heritage focus. The facility’s thoughtful display arrangement featured both restored and original condition vehicles positioned among natural tree settings.

Administrative Coordination
Glenda utilised the quieter period for essential project coordination, working on computer-based tasks and phone communications to arrange driver teams for upcoming journey segments. This administrative work ensured smooth continuity for future travel phases.

Team Transitions and Preparations
The display concluded at 1:30 PM, with Warren providing a demonstration ride for a personal friend back to the parking area. Upon returning to base, the men completed fuel preparations for Sunday morning’s early departure schedule.

New Team Integration
Frank and Irene Emhofer, the incoming driver team, successfully arrived in Alice Springs and completed their vehicle preparations for Sunday’s activities. This seamless transition ensured maintained project momentum with fresh energy.

Personal Time and Community Engagement
Team members utilised their free time for personal care activities, including haircuts, meal preparation, and relaxation. The day concluded with attendance at the evening seminar series at Mercure Alice Springs Resort, featuring Lloyd Grolimund’s presentation “The Awakening – Finding Hope in a Broken World,” with the opening session titled “Countdown to Chaos.”
