Alice Plaza Display – Right Around Australia Project

Morning Setup and Community Engagement
The team established the display outside Target at Alice Plaza by 8:15 AM, experiencing a gradual start as Alice Springs warmed up from overnight temperatures. Community engagement increased steadily from 11:00 AM onwards, providing consistent but manageable visitor interactions throughout the morning period.

Media Coordination and Staff Interactions
Journalist Phil Williams visited the display to arrange evening photography sessions featuring Bubsie alongside the Ghan railway service. The team enjoyed positive conversations with venue security personnel, establishing good working relationships during the display period.

Display Operations and Schedule Management
Team members rotated lunch breaks to maintain continuous display coverage, with visitor numbers naturally declining by 2:00 PM. The manageable pace allowed for quality conversations while ensuring efficient use of time and resources before returning to base.

Evening Railway Photography Session
At 5:45 PM, the team met Phil Williams at the railway departure area for a specialised photo and video session. Bubsie was positioned strategically near the tracks to capture dynamic footage and photographs of the iconic Ghan railway service passing the historic vehicle, creating compelling visual content for the project.

Content Management and Documentation
The evening concluded with uploading and organising the day’s photographic and video content, ensuring proper documentation of both community interactions and the unique railway photography session for future project promotional materials.
