The Early Morning Adventure Begins
We were up before sunrise—no time to waste! Kevin made a last-minute call to leave the caravans behind, so off we headed to Campbelltown. Our mission? To pick up the trailer from Campbelltown Seventh-day Church and transport our special guest, Bubsie, to the Narellan Town Centre. We arrived early, carefully unloaded Bubsie from the trailer, and parked up, ready for the day ahead.
Getting Through the Doors
We waited eagerly for Pastor Boriss to arrive. While we stood by, curious shoppers passing by spotted Bubsie and couldn’t resist grabbing books and snapping photos! When the pastor arrived, security quickly followed. After a bit of strategic maneuvering—moving the car around the corner and removing a bollard—we were finally in! But the real work was just beginning: we had to push Bubsie a long way through the shopping centre to reach our spot.
The Perfect Location
When we reached the display area, it was perfect! People couldn’t help but stop and gather around to hear Bubsie’s story. They eagerly collected Overlander and QR cards, and Pastor Boriss set up a fantastic information table featuring advertising for upcoming church events and the Prophetica seminar. These materials flew into the books almost as fast as we could hand them out.
All Hands on Deck
Throughout the day, we were blessed with help from dedicated Campbelltown Church members—about a dozen of them came to lend a hand. At times, we were all speaking to different visitors from the community, barely able to keep up with the demand! It was wonderful teamwork. We made sure someone was always with Bubsie to chat with curious visitors, while others took turns heading off for lunch. Pieter and Veronica went first, followed by Glenda and Kevin, so there was always someone to assist the wonderful visitors.
The Busy Afternoon (and a Busy Success!)
The afternoon flew by in a blur of conversations and connections. Not only did we stay incredibly busy, but we also got to chat with church members and share stories about our year’s journey together. The highlight? Many people expressed genuine interest in learning more about the Prophetica—a real sign that our message was resonating! By the time we packed up, we’d handed out approximately 600 books, plus countless dinosaur and butterfly QR codes for the kids (along with some fun Bubsie worksheets they loved).
A Perfect Wrap-Up
As 4 o’clock rolled around, we began the reverse process—pushing Bubsie back through the shopping centre aisles with security leading the way. Getting her started and smoothly into the trailer was the final hurrah of an incredible day. As Pastor Boriss thanked us warmly, we all knew we’d accomplished something special. The energy, the engagement, the community connection—it had all come together perfectly. What a day!
