A Big Day at Hilliard Christian School – Junior School Chapel
What a wonderful morning we had back up at Hilliard today, joining the vibrant Primary School community for their Chapel time! The hill leading up to the school is quite a climb, so we’d been smart about it — leaving Bubsie and the car trailer at the school overnight, all ready and waiting for us.

An Early Start and a Warm Welcome
We set off from our base just after 7 am, slipping out ahead of the morning rush hour with hearts full of anticipation. Once we arrived, we unloaded Bubsie from the trailer, gathered up the bollards and resources, and made our way down to the quadrangle.
But before the fun began with the students, we had the joy of joining the staff in their morning worship time — a beautiful reminder that this ministry touches not just the young ones, but the whole school community. A highlight? The School Principal herself, Elizabeth Chaplin, was absolutely delighted to climb aboard Bubsie for the ride down to the display area. What a moment!

Chapel Time – Led by the Kids!
The primary classes gathered together for Chapel, and it was especially special to see the Grade 4 class step up and lead the whole school in worship. There is something so powerful and moving about watching children lead their peers in faith — and they did a magnificent job!
Kevin then took centre stage to share the story with the students, and you could feel the engagement and excitement in the room.

Bubsie Steals the Show (Again!)
Two classes who hadn’t yet had the chance to spend time with Bubsie the day before were thrilled to get their opportunity after Chapel. They gathered around, eyes wide, full of curiosity and wonderful questions. These are the moments we treasure — seeing children light up and engage!

Back to Base and Looking Ahead
After packing everything up and heading back to base, the afternoon was a busy and productive one. We spent the time tucking brochures into books for the upcoming weekend events, giving Bubsie’s battery a good charge, and finalising all the details for next week’s events. There’s always something exciting on the horizon, and we can’t wait!
