Community display @ the Cranbourne Mall – Cranbourne Park VIC
This morning, as a team, we took time for reflection, reviewing some inspirational passages. Two were from Scripture, and one was from the writings of Oswald Chalmers in the book “My Utmost for His Highest,” which is a favorite devotional of ours.
The Chalmers quote stated, “When God brings the blank space, see that you do not fill it in, but wait.” This resonates with the idea that as human beings, we often feel compelled to occupy every moment, rather than allowing space for God’s direction. We believe those “blank spaces” can be opportunities for growth and understanding, if we are patient and receptive.
The scriptural passages reinforced the importance of calling on God for guidance and taking comfort in the promise of His presence, even in small gatherings. These reflections provided encouragement as we prepared to head out for the day’s activities.
Our destination was the Cranbourne Mall and the adjacent square. We found a suitable parking spot, unloaded the vehicle, and positioned it in the center of the square, setting up the gazebo and informational materials nearby.
Throughout the day, passersby were able to view the car and receive the informational materials we had prepared. We were grateful for the assistance of volunteers from the local Cranbourne church, who helped distribute over 130 books and brochures.
As we engaged with the visitors, we remained mindful of the need to rely on God’s wisdom in our interactions. We sensed His presence and saw evidence of His work in people’s lives, even in these brief encounters. The experience reinforced the value of maintaining an open and receptive mindset rather than rushing to fill every moment.
Overall, it was a productive day, with a steady flow of interested individuals stopping to learn more about the vehicle and the associated program. The team remained grateful for the opportunity to share this experience and connect with the community.
