An Early Rise for the Wynyard Foreshore Market
There’s something quietly magical about setting off before the sun has even woken up! This morning we headed out of the Devonport campground in the pre-dawn darkness, making our way along the road to Wynyard with anticipation in our hearts.

A Beautiful Welcome from the Morning Sky
We rolled in around 7am, and what a sight greeted us — the sky was putting on a breathtaking show of dawn colours as we got set up! Darryl Groves was there to meet us with a warm welcome, and the market organizers kindly directed us to a perfect display area right by the walkway, where the trailer could be positioned to catch the eye of every passerby. It couldn’t have been better!

A Perfect Day for People and Stories
The day truly delivered — warm, bright, and absolutely ideal for a market display. Bubsie drew a steady stream of curious and delighted visitors, and we loved every conversation. By the end of the morning, we had given away over 150 books — what a joy!
A huge thank you to Darryl, Toa, and Noel for rolling up their sleeves and working alongside us. It was also such a treat to catch up with more familiar faces throughout the day.

An Exciting Invitation!
As a wonderful bonus, the day brought us an exciting opportunity — an invitation to display at the Wonders of Wynyard Exhibition the following afternoon. We couldn’t wait!

Heading to Somerset
After 2pm, we packed everything up and made our way to Somerset, where we got to enjoy the warm hospitality of dear friends — Darrell and Cheryl Walsh. The perfect end to a full and fruitful day.
