An Inspiring Morning at Border Christian College
After setting up Bubsie in the Multi-Purpose Centre the day before, we arrived bright and early at 8 am to share breakfast with the students. There’s something special about starting the day together over toast, orange juice, and fresh fruit—it set a warm, welcoming tone for everything that followed.

Bubsie Takes The Stage
Following the school assembly, we kicked off our presentations with Years 5-6. Kevin brought the story to life using a PowerPoint presentation, then gave the students what they’d been waiting for—a close-up look at Bubsie! The excitement when he started up the car for each group was palpable.
We continued with Years 3-4 from the Primary School before breaking for a well-deserved cuppa at recess.

A Visit to the Library
During the break, Veronica and Glenda stopped by the school library to donate a copy of God’s Rescue Plan. They enjoyed chatting with the librarian about the Christian Reading Challenge—spreading the joy of reading alongside our mission.

A Special Surprise for the Little Ones
We got an unexpected request: could the Pre-Kindy class see Bubsie? Absolutely! We were delighted to give these young learners a quick tour and share a simplified version of the story. Their wide-eyed wonder reminded us why we do this.

Sharing Resources and Stories
Throughout the morning, we presented to one more Primary group (Years K-2) and the High School students (Years 7-10). We distributed:
~The Overlander books to High School and Upper Primary students
~Bubsie worksheets to Primary School students
~QR cards linking to record breakers and TIJ nature programs
~The Overlander books to each teacher

A Blessing Before We Go
After all the presentations, Bubsie was carefully pushed out of the Multi-Purpose Centre. The school chaplain even took a short ride before we loaded Bubsie into the trailer! Before we left, the chaplain and a staff member said a beautiful prayer for our journey ahead.

Speed Champions on the Oval
We couldn’t resist stopping to watch the High School students practice for their remote-controlled buggy challenge on the oval. We have to admit—their speeds might have been faster than what Bubsie can do! It was impressive to see their enthusiasm and skill.

Grateful Hearts
What a fantastic morning! We’re deeply grateful to the staff and students of Border Christian College for their warm welcome and attentive participation. We greet with thankful hearts.

An Afternoon in the Heart of Albury
After enjoying a relaxed lunch and taking care of a few odds and ends, we set off with happy hearts just before 3:30 pm to QE II Square. What a delightful surprise awaited us! The square was absolutely beautiful—the perfect welcoming spot to spend an hour and a half sharing Bubsie’s story as the golden afternoon unfolded around us.

Where Paths Cross and Friendships Begin
We felt truly blessed by the location. The buses stopped right in front of us, bringing a steady stream of friendly faces our way. It was wonderful to chat with passengers as they waited for their rides or stepped off the bus to start their journey home. Others simply wandered over, intrigued by what they saw, and we were thrilled to welcome them.

Hearts and Conversations
What a joy it was to connect with so many lovely people! The conversations flowed naturally—some brief and cheerful, others deeper and more meaningful. We were delighted to share about 30 books with interested visitors, each one a little seed of hope and inspiration finding its way into the community.

Gratitude and Golden Light
The weather wrapped us in warmth and sunshine, making our final hours in Albury simply perfect. We’re so grateful to Russ for organizing this wonderful location where we could truly connect with the heart of the community. It was a beautiful way to say farewell to Albury, carrying with us the warmth of new friendships and precious conversations.
